Sixty with Seniors – Senior Safety Awareness Events

The Mobile Police Department Office of Public Safety – Victim Services Unit, in partnership with the Mobile Housing Authority (MHA), hosted “Sixty with Seniors – Senior Safety Awareness” events at senior housing communities. March 19, 2026 – Downtown Renaissance (DTR) These events were designed to educate and empower senior residents by providing critical information on personal safety, scam and fraud prevention, and emergency preparedness. Representatives from the Victim Services Unit shared practical tips and real-life examples to help residents recognize potential risks and protect themselves. Residents were actively engaged, asking questions and participating in open discussions. These sessions not only provided valuable safety education but also strengthened the ongoing partnership between MHA and the Mobile Police Department, reinforcing a shared commitment to the safety, independence, and well-being of our senior residents. |
